In 2019 the Possehl Foundation will be celebrating its centenary. It was approved by Senate decree in May 1919 and has since been promoting "all that is good and beautiful" in Lübeck. For the Foundation, the centenary is a moment for reflection and gratitude for the great diversity of organizations, initiatives and committed individuals enriching our communities. Most of the time we are only the donor, without our applicants we would not be able to realize the objectives of our Foundation in such abundance. Therefore our special thanks go to them especially in our anniversary year.

Two publications will be released on the occasion of our anniversary: "POSSEHL - Geschichte und Charakter einer Stiftung" ("POSSEHL - History and Character of a Foundation") and "GUT & SCHÖN? Die Possehl-Stiftung in Lübeck"  ("GOOD & BEAUTIFUL The Possehl Foundation in Lübeck") - more information about them will be available here starting in May.

EMIL and young people

We are really looking forward to an "EMIL 100" project: The Lübeck Bücherpiraten (book pirates) will be accompanying our anniversary year in the media and will be reporting on - in their view - interesting topics. We are very excited about the "young perspective from outside" on the Possehl Foundation! Everything will be available on our website in May.
