Interactive programme for all age groups

The European Hansemuseum was opened by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel in 2015 and is located at the northern end of Lübeck's old town island. The museum provides visitors with an informative and fascinating impression of one of the largest trading networks of all time. The museum welcomes more than 100,000 visitors every year.

Special temporary exhibitions tell the exciting story of the Hanse from new and surprising perspectives. The show, "Guter Stoff. Textile Worlds from the Hanse Era to the Present Day" attracted over 24,000 visitors. Two museum apps, "Hanse Adventure" and "Merchant's House Adventure", complement the museum's programme.
